Information about securing a space in our future opportunity community for young people aged 16-25.
The Tribe All Life Programme:
Self + Community Development (18 hours p/w min)
Joining the programme involves attending at least 3 skill rooms and at least 2 life rooms per week . Workshop rooms are 3/4 hours a day (mornings or afternoons depending on project)
Application Pathways
September 2026 Pilot Year
The normal admission round for entry in September 2026 has now closed. For late applications, contact your home local authority.
In-Year Admissions
Parents/Carers/Professionals can apply for a place for a young person at any time outside the normal admissions round. Likewise, if there are spaces available in the skill programme you are applying for, your young person will be offered a place.
If there are no spaces available at the time of your application, the young person’s name will be added to a waiting list for the relevant project group. When a space becomes available, it will be filled by one of the students on the waiting list in accordance with the oversubscription criteria. Priority will not be given to young people on the basis that they have been on the waiting list the longest.

If a young person has been refused a place in our college, the right to appeal against this decision is available. Appeals further information can be found below:

Appeals timetable for admission to our college for the 2027/28 academic year:
Deadline for lodging appeals: 31st May 2027
Dates when appeals will be heard: 21 July 2027
Date appeals made after the deadline will be heard: At least 10 working days’ notice of the appeal hearing
Tribe All Democratic College is an alternative youth work as education provider for students who are showing a level of potential disengagement from self and future hope, which is placing them at risk of permanent social exclusion.
Our aim is to introduce its students into CPD and progression into self employment, training or further education.
Admissions Policy
Application Arrangements
Number of places available
The College will provide Alternative Education for approximately 50 + students aged 16 – 25 across South London.
These places will be a mix of full-time placements with a limited number of part-time placements.
Registration arrangements
Our registration arrangements vary depending on the needs of the students as well as the requirements of commissioning schools and the relevant local authorities. We offer 6-day provision, short term placements of varying lengths and duel & single register options. Admissions are coordinated via commissioning schools, Local authorities and The admissions panel.
Referral arrangements
Commissioners wishing to make a referral for a place, should submit the appropriate referral form, which must be fully completed, and shared with the young person and carers.
To acquire a place at our college, young people will be referred by their current educational establishment or home local authority.
Induction
All students will be assessed as part of their consultation and induction. This will involve a minimum 2- week induction process where assessments will take place to determine the best pathway for each student and to ensure the personalisation of the curriculum meets the individual needs of the student.

Pathway To Agency
About the programme
- If you are over the age of 16 years old and would like to explore community work opportunities and gain skills for life and employment in your local area, this is the programme for you.
- This programme runs for up to five days per week, 9.30am to 4.30pm. The programme is made up of time in College as time in a work placement.
- Our experiential programme has been designed to prepare you for the next exciting steps in your life. You will learn skills to start you on your pathway to independent living.

You will also have opportunities to:
- Work with new people
- Take part in work taster sessions.
- Develop your practical and social skills in local community environments
- Get involved in local community enterprise projects and volunteering schemes
- Explore ways to make new friends in a safe environment.
- You will have a teaching team delivering the programme along with a Work Mentor to support you with employability skills and in your work experience placement.
